Take 2
Commissioned by Maestro Christopher Cinquini and the Reading Symphony Youth Orchestra
This work is titled Take 2 because it’s my second attempt at writing music in this style and is also a deviation from my normal style. I liked working through the challenge of expressing myself in a different harmonic language; like painting with a new color pallet. The work is also written to exemplify the many great talents the commissioning group has with a semi-flexible instrumentation.
Premiered December 11th, 2022
